The Falcons are getting a new stadium in Atlanta too and their owner has expressed interest in sharing it with an MLS team.

That's how much our stadium cost....

Ya, but that was a while ago, you'd think that the higher standards and inflation would make it more expensive...

Nor Cal needs a team. Only makes sense. 100 million would be plenty enough for a stadium as long as theyre not trying to build something that holds 75, 000.

Most teams know their limits or have special arrangements with the larger stadiums to downsize them and still look good (tarps/banners)

Isn't San Jose in Nor Cal?

Ya it is, but Nor Cal is also a very big place with some other decent sized markets spread out.

I can see a Sacramento team doing really well if the Kings move to Seattle goes official.

Is Sacramento a soccer hotbed? If not, I don't see it. The Kings are the only gig in town and (while they had excellent support in the "glory" years of the early 2000's) their attendance is poor (which is why they're rumored to be moving to Seattle). Basketball is way more popular in America, so I don't see MLS Sacramento really succeeding.

Their low attendance is due only to the constant relocation threats and poor ownership though, they sold out almost every season for the previous 18 or so years.
