So, right now I normally work until between 8:30 and 10 pm ET and my sleep schedule runs from between 2-6 am and 9am-2pm depending what the day depends. I just got accepted for a full time position working 5pm-3:30am Monday- Thursday. I live with my parents and I'll work a 2PM-9Pm Sunday nights, how should I schedule my sleep time for the new job? I'm normally up to this hour, but I'm also not working for 5 of these hours, should I stay up and go to the gym and sleep around 8 or 9 am? Or get home sleep 6 am-2pm head to the gym to start my day and go to work? Im curious how I should balance this schedule, I live with my parents so I'm not dealing with kids or anything I can sleep when I need to and go work or go to the gym when is needed.

Sunday: Wake up around 10am, go to gym, have lunch, then go to your job at 2pm. Get home around 10pm, relax, watch some TV, post on CCS. Try to go to bed around 3 or 4am.

Monday: Get 8 hours sleep and wake up at noon on Monday. Go to gym, should be quiet at your gym so you can plow through your routine fast. Get back home and run errands or relax. Go to job at 5pm, get home at 3:30am, and go to bed right away.

Tuesday: Get 8 hours sleep and wake up at noon or 1pm on Tuesday. Repeat this until you're done with work Thursday.

Friday: Sleep, you're going to be tired.

Saturday: Try to get adjusted again because you will want to wake up around 10am on Sunday again.

i work from 10.00 pm to 6.00am six days then rest two. I think like is all reversed, i eat the lunch at 1.00am instead of 1.00pm, eat my dinner at 8.00am instead of 8.00pm, wake up at my 8.30 pm instead of 8.30 am and so on.. i suggest you also to sleep less on the days you rest even if you are tired, too many times i slept too much and fucked up my rythm, so i suggest you to sleep less, ok you will be a little tired but you don't work so.. it's very important to don't mess with the rythm, trust me, it is 4 years now that i've been doing this life, i suggest also to don't go to sleep immediatly when you get home. I get home around my 6.30am and stay awake until 12-12.30 i think like it is midnight

5pm-330 am isn't really too bad. You don't really have to change anything. 3rd shift fucking sucks though. Hate that shit. All you do is sleep and work.

Tis the only benefit to nearly having no life while working that many hours.

My job doesn't pay OT until you hit 55 hours, so I refuse to go very much over 40.
