I remember when word first came out they were going to be shooting the movie I was a bit excited as I watch DB during elementary school.
One thing I hated about DBZ were they had so many episodes but nothing was accomplished during each episode. You had to bunch like 3 episodes together to get something good out of it.
I used to be big into anime and watch that show, like from 99 (when they would only play the first season over and over on saturdays) -2001.
I agree, there was far too much, "powering up" and stare downs that lasted a whole episode.
I reccomend the comics. Far less filler and better art work. I read all the DBZ comics, back in 2000, some body had scanned/uploadedevery single page of every single dbz comic, and I read them all on his site (its long gone now as that is about as illegal as it gets).
I heard they were releasing editted versions of the show, cutting out all that filler.

Save for some button-mashing afternoons of Budokai on PS.
The best PSOne DBZ game was an import I cant remember the name of. It was 2d with the "illusion" of 3d. Was basically a fighting game, but most of the time you were flying and actually could switch teammates like the marvel vs games.
Usually the problem with DBZ games is they all sucked, the latest ones that have been coming out actually arent bad and are pretty respectable and unique fighters while looking really good with the cell shading.
