Sorry to break your bubble, but this isn't an actual trailer. Lot's of speculation about this but supposedly it isn't real. Gotta just look in the comments section.

From what I remember reading - it was made to try and get interest going for a full movie. Consider it a "treatment"

Well there is a new movie in production and speculation is that this short is going to be the basis of the movie. The fact that "real" actors are in it strengthens that case. Either way this short film is incredibly well produced.

This short was created like a pilot. basically it was created in order to convince the people who hold the movie license for MK to allow the director to actually create it. The director released it in the mopes that it would get greenlighted by the production company, and apparently it has worked. Interest exploded for this movie and fans have pretty much demanded that it get made. Since there was so much interest the production company that holds the MK movie rights has green lighted it (or at least it has been thought to have been green lighted). It's basically the best video game movie ever created, and it's only a short/teaser... I can't wait to see the full product.

How the producer/director is not famous is beyond me, this was great work. Even people who aren't fans of Mortal Kombat could appreciate the way it was put together.

Maybe its just me but that trailer seemed like a cheese fest anyhow.

Fighting games just dont translate well to the big screen.

From what I saw of this trailer/preview what have you, the first mortal kombat movie was better, I mean at least it was true to the storyline of the game (which ripped off heavily from enter the dragon aside from the supernatural aspect).

I don't think there has been a "good" fighting game movie EVER. The first Streetfighter movie was a complete and utter joke. The Chun-li movie was a joke too and Street Fighter is my favorite fighting game franchise.

I honestly think the first Mortal Kombat movie was probably the best fighting game based film ever released, it still wasn't all that great.

Was on SHOtime and I was bored. Heard it was incredibly bad so I decided to form my own opinion. Should have just kept the opinion I heard.

That's nothing... I knew it was gonna be bad and watched it anyway.

Was really hoping for Emmy Rossum in something slinky.

I remember when word first came out they were going to be shooting the movie I was a bit excited as I watch DB during elementary school.

One thing I hated about DBZ were they had so many episodes but nothing was accomplished during each episode. You had to bunch like 3 episodes together to get something good out of it.

Save for some button-mashing afternoons of Budokai on PS.

I used to be big into anime and watch that show, like from 99 (when they would only play the first season over and over on saturdays) -2001.

I agree, there was far too much, "powering up" and stare downs that lasted a whole episode.

I reccomend the comics. Far less filler and better art work. I read all the DBZ comics, back in 2000, some body had scanned/uploadedevery single page of every single dbz comic, and I read them all on his site (its long gone now as that is about as illegal as it gets).

I heard they were releasing editted versions of the show, cutting out all that filler.

The best PSOne DBZ game was an import I cant remember the name of. It was 2d with the "illusion" of 3d. Was basically a fighting game, but most of the time you were flying and actually could switch teammates like the marvel vs games.

Usually the problem with DBZ games is they all sucked, the latest ones that have been coming out actually arent bad and are pretty respectable and unique fighters while looking really good with the cell shading.
