Considering that this forum has become a mecca for Pippen Rose comparrison, I have a new poll question....WHO WOULD WIN IN A ONE ON ONE GAME...pippen or Rose??????
Your opinions will be interesting...
I would bet my balls and my word that Pippen would do a Lebron James on Rose and kill him defensively alone...I wonder how well Rose would score on him..Pip shouldn't have a problem scoring on Rose considering his defense is only average..All pip would have to do is dunk on him like he did Ewing..I think Rose would probabely end up in a hospital if Pip treated him like ewing going to the basket...But then again that is just my confident opinion...Don't forget Pip was an exceptional three point shooter and had a wicked jumpshot from anywhere on the floor..

Actually there are about a hundred threads on here that turn into a pippen argument...LoL...But keep in mind, there hasn't been a "pippen vs rose 1 on 1" pole yet.....

Depends on the rules. If it was "buckets" it would be a very close game and up-for-grabs. If it was buckets, Rose would win the vast majority of the time.

Do you watch many one on one games? Pippen's dunk on Ewing happened in transition... there is a big difference between being able to run up and gain momentum and play half-court one-on-one.

Rose versus anybody one-on-one just isn't fair. The guy has the best crossover move in the league today and the best since Iverson's. Pippen couldn't dream of containing him off the dribble. Pippen's best bet would be to stand under the basket and hope he could get a block and hope Rose somehow goes cold shooting wide open jumpers.

Do you watch many one on one games? Pippen's dunk on Ewing happened in transition... there is a big difference between being able to run up and gain momentum and play half-court one-on-one.

You say that rose would have no problem staying in front of him, but so what..what would he do..nothing..He would be like a bug and pip would just swat his little ass out of the way and dominate offensively..he could run over and just go right over him and pip does not have to be in transition..Pip could just stand still and dunk over him if he wanted..He could easily post rose up with his back to the basket..Pip also has just as good or a better jump shot than rose from anywhere on the floor inside and out.....Now as far as defending rose, Rose is quick with a great crossover just like you say...But keep in mind, Pip also was very quick for a forward anyway..Pippen excelled at running both ends of the court..Pippen can switch from offense to defense so quckly that he would come out of nowhere and be blocking people from behind oout of nowhere whether catching up and getting in front of his oppanant or or just coming from behind and swatting the shit out of his shot...I'm not saying rose couldn't get around pip, but it would be the toughest job he has ever done in life..Now it would also depend on whether its a halfcourt matchup or full court game too...If it was a full court 1 on 1 game it might be closer but pip still wins..If it was a halfcourt game, Rose would be literally fucked ..LMAO....

And on defense, due to that 5 inch height advantage, and pippens long reach, pippen could give him a little xtra space and still be able to be at the basket when rose got there.
