Don't waste your time; it's awful and the sexual innuendo is awkward.

I never said it was good, it is funny because of how bad it is. But I am pretty sure that is the point.

Ya pretty much.:turrible:

Oh, I wasn't knocking you for posting it. But, imho, something that is so atrocious does not equal funny to me. It's simply atrocious.

It's pretty much common knowledge that Kane is a meathead horndog and it doesn't take such a leap of faith for him to be involved in such a commercial, but I expect Toews to have more sense or rather a degree of levelheadedness to avoid being sucked into this level of meatheadedness. I know Toews is no saint himself and had issues getting caught unlawfully drinking a couple of times, but I have much higher expectations (and I don't think I'm the only one) of him. He ought not have gotten involved in this.

Also, he was complaining about it taking forever to load and I was simply offering that there are far better ways to spend 3+ minutes. :D

So because both act like pretty much everyone who is single in their 20s they are meatheads? I guess myself and all of my non-married friends are "meathead horndogs?" So being attracted to and picking up girls makes you a meathead...

Also being surprised some in college took part in underage drinking? Come on now...

I don't know your age but don't you remember being young and having fun?

Publicly - there's a difference and a huge one at that. They are local stars and faces of a couple of public professional organizations. There is a much different standard. Neither you, your friends, my friends, or myself are/were share the same status. I don't know who you are nor what you look like. Are/Were there unflattering photos of you that were splattered across many different media outlets as a topic of news? None of us here (unless you have some close circle of friends who post here) would know. That's a big difference. To extend your argument, the companies that dropped endorsements on Tiger were completely off-base because after all, it's just sex he was doing. It's a natural thing; and hell, infidelity has become a natural thing, too. Those companies shouldn't care if the public is repulsed by a face of their organization...

As for Toews's drinking, I was simply stating that I knew he's gotten caught in the past. I didn't say it was a big deal, but rather he's no saint. I didn't want it to appear as if I was putting him on a pedestal but rather he needs to realize that he has more responsibilities (as opposed to Kane) that include being a professional representative of the team and league to the public and his reputation not only reflects himself, but those he represents.

So one making a commercial about innocently picking up a girl and a guy who cheated on his wife and family with 100s of women are now grouped into the same category.

You act like Toews and Kane made a raunchy commercial, it was very innocent and purposely stupid.

It's creepy bad in my opinion and not as innocent as you perceived it. I think you may have missed something - the implication of taking pictures of unsuspecting women is far from innocent. Oh wait, I'm sorry; that's right, he was taking a picture of her PHONE..yeah, that's it. That makes it okay.

Notice the word extension? However, the crux of my argument is still the same - what/how he represents himself transcends himself.

Rest assured that new commercial will be all over TheHockeyJunkies page soon enough if it hasn't already. Kane's just turned 22, he's a walking hormone. They just stopped over in Vegas to celebrate his birthday. Hope the cabbies out there are on alert.

any of you hockey junkies go to away games, or just the home games. Just curious! thanks

This commercial made me die laughing. Kane and Toews should stick to their day jobs. Whoever wrote the script for this commercial fails at life. I couldn't help but cringe at certain "jokes" *shudders* I hope they don't make another commercial like this.
