Newfie Receptionist driving me nuts

We have this new receptionist and she is from New Foundland. Usually I like people and their funny accents but this one is making me nuts. Every time I hear her on the intercom or pager, I want to stick a pencil in my eye.



It is hard to describe but if you can imagine, she would say pork chop like pyork chup.



I need advice.

It is funny that it bothers me so much but it is very much like the feeling one gets with fingernails on the chalkboard. Damn, listen to that video and imagine that as your receptionist. The only accent I find offensive is basically Ebonics. I dont mind the Indian accent my issues is I just cant understand what they are saying over the phone. I hate asking them to repeat it 3 times but I just do not understand what they are saying.

...I understand her rather well, a few words I didnt get but overall I knew what she was saying. Must be because I have family from Minnesota and that is a almost canadian accent
