Most of the cap sites were planning on about $275m, so it really doesn't change things much from what was expected.

Good callout. OTC has theirs set at 279 million, which is within the projected range.

As of now, the Chiefs would have anywhere from 5-9 million in cap space, which isn't nearly enough to hand out huge contracts. They'll have to do a lot of restructuring, cutting, etc.

They were at $275. They adjusted after the announcement to 279

It goes up for every team obviously. That means those Chiefs players can command even higher salaries on the open market - just like every other free agent out there. The Chiefs are just as cap-strapped today as they were last week.

Thank you. If anything a projected increase in the cap is net neutral for FA signings. It only makes existing contracts look better.

If I’m looking for 10 and the learn the cap is raising 10% I’m adjusting to 11 at the very least. The cap going up inflates FA salaries. It doesn’t make them better.
