Rules are simple here, you get a team, make trades, sign free agents, hire/fire your head coach. Some rules are still being debated so if your interested in participating please leave a post.

I have not decided yet if we are going to do a full NHL or just a conference one. Below is the usual questions, 1 change though. That is the rebuild or playoff chase. By Rebuild I am talking about trading away top veteran players for young prospects or draft picks, and playoff race would of course mean you are looking to make the playoffs.

Teams you would want?
Teams you dont want?
Do you want to rebuild or race for the Playoffs?
Want to be an assistant?

Sounds interesting..

IDC to all of the answers at this point -so I'm good with whatever given. :)

Edit: I thought about this - I would be better as an asst I think.

Edited II: Seems like all of the trading will be done -so... I doubt I would be able to keep up. Good idea, though.

Ok, so I think I have a way to make this work. We'll need at least 10 GM's, but we will use all teams. The teams that are not ran by one of us will be ran by their real life GM. So if no one picks Florida and the Carolina Hurricanes but they make a deal at the deadine, that deal will go threw here. If your team trades with a team who has no GM you caneither accept or decine that trade, if Salary allows you.

Salary this time will be based off of cap hits from capgeek. I willdoslaries again fro yu, but if you want to know how much you will based on trading players there is a trade machine. Once at th trade machine on capgeek you ca selectthe plaers you wish to trade, and trade for. Remembr whe you trade somone you still pay them a cap hit as well, toetermine thi you take their cap hit, and subtract what their remainin cap hit is on the trade machine. if you acquie a player you simply take on the salary remaining. Also make sure to set the date on th trademachine to Feb. 28th. I'll give an example:

Calgary Trades:
Jarome Iginla (7,000,000.00) he has $1,543,011 of his contract remaining at he deadline. Calgr would still hve a cap hit of 5,456,989.00 on Iginla. Boston woul then take the 1.5 Mil on there cap hit

Boston Trades:
Shawn Thornton (812,50.00) he hs $179,099 so Boston's cap hit on Thornton would be633,401.00 with Calgary paying the 179,099.00
