I am going to predict Yandle gets dealt to Philly. Also keep an eye out for Ottawa. They have 20 million to spend next season.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 7m

CAR trading Jussi Jokinen to PIT for a conditional pick. Trade call pending. CAR is taking back some money in deal. #tradecentre

Was a "possible" center option for the Blackhawks. Jokinen was on waivers about a week ago and every team took a pass (he is signed through next year). Should be interesting to see how much money the Canes are eating to make this deal happen.

wow gaborik to cbj

I can't believe it. Terrible deal for CBJ in my eyes. They gave up just a ridiculous amount for Gaborik who has a 7.5mil cap hit.

via McKenzie: NYR trade Gaborik to CBJ for Brassard, John Moore, Dorsett and 6th round pick. #tradecentre

Still no news on a trade, though Pominville and Erat trades both came in pretty late.

Lou was not traded.

Both Lou and Gillis held press conferences shortly after the deadline and confirmed that he was not traded. Lou sounded pretty upset over this whole process and it seems like it has worn on him.

I believe Luongo's words were "my contract sucks" when asked why he wasn't traded. Gaining more and more respect for him by the day.

Correct. Was really a wild press conference to watch and if people haven't seen it yet, I recommend it. At one point I believe he said that he wishes he could rip his contract up.

The guy just wants to play. Real tough situation in Vancouver and have to figure that it will be figured out this summer finally. Vancouver might have to buck up and just go the amnesty route, who knows.

Pretty damn good for the Sabres...maybe the Flames should have started the rebuild earlier and traded Iginla last year. That extra year on the contract is obviously worth a boat load.

Trade was announced originally Pominville for Hackett and Larsson. Most analysts applauded both teams...then they learned that the Sabres also got a 1st and 2nd round pick. Absolutely ridiculous. I could only imagine their asking price for Ott (wouldn't have been as much but would have been ridiculous as well).
