I feel they should go with DE in the 4th round and try to grab a RB in the 5th rounder. Now that the top RBs are gone, might as well go value.

But knowing our good, old Bears, they will probably take Shedeur Sanders with the 4th rounder and complicate life for all concerned..

Definitely take Sheduer Sanders with the 4th. It's a steal.
Orton was taken in the 4th. Get rid of Bagent, he's been nothing but the cause of QB controversy. Orton would never do that.

Are any DEs working on falling from #1 to UDFA?

Antwaun Powell-Ryland looks like a fairly productive DE that may be worth taking a shot on in the 4th. He had 16 sacks last year at Virginia Tech and 9.5 sacks the year before that. Anyone that has that type of nose for finding the QB is worth taking a chance on in day 3 in my opinion.

The DL they drafted in the 2nd, dexter, and jarrett may all get snaps at DE too

Sanders seems to have put off people with his over confidence and celebrity status.. So he will defo be a major distraction. He will probably say in his first interview that he has been assured that he is QB1 - lol.. But da Bears do these things..

Jarrett has been a pure play DT for over a decade. Best to leave him there. Maybe the new kid can be thrown in to DE..

I can't believe he's dropping like this. I kept expecting to see his name in the 3rd. He must be pegged as an over confident bust at any price. A true hero to zero story.
He'll be the next Matt Nagy. Arena QB turned coach who's still over confident.

Bradyn Swinson, Kyle Kennard, David Walker or Tyler Baron @ 109.

Whichever is highest on their board.

Had to be Edge, right?

Taking a rb now is pointless but hopefully we do sign one after the draft chubb or try and get a dobnins, maybe even ekeler from Washington for a late pick, Just anyone who can compete with swift and push him to be a little better. I hope we take one no later than the 2nd rd next year, this offense is stacked but without a good run game I fear it may be a long season of 3 and outs.

For this ^ and others hoping for a post-draft Edge vet signing / trade...Bears cap is already spent. They'll have to be a little creative just to pay these rookies. They're not forking out 8-20mil more for some vet without pushing the bucks into the future a'la Ryan Pace on a win-now battle plan. Just sayin'.

They should be fielding a fine roster without overspending however.

Perhaps the lil speedster Jayden Blue is drafted in the 5th to be their poor man's Jaymyr Gibbs quickback?
...or who's this other 5'9" Dylan Sampson cat from TENN rated as 4th best on NFL prospects list??

Only RB left that the Bears have meet with is the kid from Miami, this is going to be interesting.

I would take Will Howard at some point but definitely not Sanders.

We took a DE in the 5th round last year and people pretty much consider him worthless. What's one in the 4th going to do?

Dylan Sampson is still available. He's small but Swift isn't in the long-term plans and his dynamic ability is something Johnson would likely want. Breshard Smith, Skattebo, Tuten, Martinez and Giddens are all still available. Seems like a prime spot to upgrade the last spot on the offense that really can be upgraded at this point.

Yes, it will be wonderful to have Deion undermining Caleb and Johnson from the minute his son shows up at Halas Hall.

I'm not into turning this roster into a win-now operation, but there are a few down roster guys that you can cut to make a $M here and there.

Even so, let the new core gel together. If they look poised to take off like a rocket in 2026, completely different story. But I wanna see the offense look like they are poised to be playoff competitive before they start playing games with the cap.

Da Bears should draft Bhayshul Tuten.
