Well more info will come out in the next week about the console and the games that's coming to it.

We'll start with the OTHER WiiU controller. Everybody has seen the big iPad looking controller, but now there's this:

And the GamePad:

And here's two articles:

Nintendo's Wii U Has a Proper Online Community

Enter the Miiverse. It's a World Nintendo's Invented.

If this works out for Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony will have a lot of catching up to do

In case people don't click on the Assassins Creed III thread, or don't have any interest in AC, this video shows gameplay of it on the WiiU. So you can get a feel for the WiiU graphics and what you can expect.

A Closer Look at the Wii U's Xbox-esque Pro Controller

Demo of the pro controller. When the video started I saw the top of the controller was made from that slick plastic, and was worried the bottom would be the same, but the bottom plastic is a grippier plastic.

Not sure about those button placements though. High sticks, low buttons. And the L2/R2 buttons aren't really triggers, but kind of are, if that makes sense. Not a big range of motion for them like PS3 and 360's triggers.

10 minute video of ZombiU being played. Looks fun, I just don't really want to used that gamepad controller.

Bits From Nintendo's Annual Shareholder's Meeting -- Andriasang.com

After reading this, here's some shit about the WiiU:

- Nintendo shared WiiU tech info with third parties the same time they shared it with internal parties. Hoping this will increase third party titles on their console.

-WiiU online service won't cost anything. Said paid membership isn't the best approach and having everyone use the Miiverse will help spread the word.

I don't like any Nintendo game.

eh? Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Super Smash Bros, WCW/NWO Revenge, MarioKart 64, Super mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time? There's 7 reasons for you to change your mind, all on a console that's over a decade old.

Edit: ahh, just saw you were banned. lulz. bots. I should turn signatures on

I'm definitely getting the WiiU at some point. But I'll wait until it has a few milestone releases, likely Mario games(the good ones) and the same old. But I like that shit mixed in with everything else. I'm not going to stand in line, like a communist USSR bread line/apple fan, trying to get it on release day.

I'm going to wait until either one of two things happen. 1, a truly great original game comes out for the system(and it will, because Nintendo is the best at great originals.) Or 2, a hack/mod with update-proofing that allows for homebrew and backup playing.

Right now, the WiiU seems like too little, too soon.
