No more Michael Scott

Just found out that Steve Carrall (sp) will not be back after this coming season of the office. It kind of saddens me. The only person that I would accept replacing Michael Scott is Steven Colbert. I just feel that would be right.

That sucks, but I think the other characters have developed enough that they could do well without Carell. His schtick has kind of gotten stale over so many seasons.

Yeah they will survive without him. I love that show, but sometimes Michael Scott is too stupid to be believeable.

Colbert would be an awesome replacement as Regional Manager though.

Having watched the original office in Britain when I was there I never liked Carell. He was unbelievable in every way. I thought Ricky Gervais was much better, of course he wrote and created it. The American Office's quality lies in the development of the secondary characters over the years. I don't think it matters who replaces Carell it will only last probably one year without him. Although I wouldn't mind Will Arnett.

The show is kind of unbelievable in every way. What actual business would allow cameras into their offices for that many years, and how many people would really let the cameras into their personal lives for that long?

That fact that the character of Michael Scott is so unbelievable is kind of par for the course for the entire premise of the show.
