We're finally at a point where we no longer have to fear lindsey hunter jumping into the lineup. Who knows, we might no longer have to see pargo either!

anyone a bucks/grizzlies fan? is warrick any good?

Warrick has some athleticism, decent jumpshot...a little more disciplined than Tyrus...he knows his limitations better than Tyrus does. Should be a positive for the team.

from what ive seen he plays more in-control than tyrus. tyrus was so predictable in that he would constantly make the wrong decision. you can almost see the turnover developing whenever he is in the game.

he fought for starting PF minutes in milwaukee, skiles never gave him consistent playing time so as a result his numbers are all over the place. i do agree though that he can be an upgrade over tyrus

Warrick definitely more reliable than Tyrus but we will lose some shot blocking & athleticism. However, Warrick's 15-footer is better than Ty's & he brings consistency & that's the real key.

I'm also ecstatic that Hunter & Pargo will probably never play another game in a Bulls uni.

I doubt Warrick will be an upgrade to Tyrus. That's wishful thinking. He is a capable replacement. He had 9 rebounds last night which is great, but that was almost certainly the exception. He rebounds pretty badly for someone his size with his athleticism, and he's not going to block many shots like Tyrus did. Overall, the defense will suffer while he's in. On offense, he's better than Tyrus but not by so much that I'd get excited about the improvement. Overall, he's just the guy who will take up the minutes vacated by Tyrus.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the deals we made, and I'm happy with Warrick. Just don't expect him to be an improvement over Tyrus.

Then you too must have been disheartened when Pargo got almost 10 minutes of PT last night. Once the dust settles, perhaps he's out of the rotation. Murray and Brown will probably absorb those minutes.

Side note. Did anyone else find it weird that with so many new players coming in with no practice time with the team, players like Devin Brown didn't get any PT?

You seem to think from your statements that Tyrus improved the defense with his presence...I don't think so. Taj is more sound defensively than Tyrus. For every blocked shot there are 3 or 4 times he gets burned on missed assignments and/or goaltending on obvious misses.

Taj got's easily overpowered by bigger players though. The same thing happened to Tyrus, but he was able to make it up with his shot blocking

The difference between Tyrus and Taj is that Taj was where he was supposed to be defensively. He knows when to play help defense, when to stay on his man...etc. Tyrus seems to have no concept of defensive assignments and doesn't seem to want to learn. So he has to overcompensate with his shot blocking, he gets burned as much as he is successful.

My argument wasn't that Tyrus was a great defender, but that Warrick is a really, really bad one. So in defensive comparison, I'd rather have Tyrus. I don't think anybody who watches Gibson or Tyrus closely would say Tyrus is the better defender.

why don't they play devin brown?????????????????????????????????????????????????? he averaged just under double figures in NO!

i feel warrick is better than tyrus, and this isn't just based off two games.

Yeah, I don't know what happened to Brown. He should be out there getting JJ and Pargo's minutes at the very least.

JJ did have a good game but Brown was supposed to be the Salmons replacement and we don't have Salmons anymore.
