Actually, after seeing the full story that the person who collected the sample took it home for the night because the shipping places were closed, I think Braun deserved to win the case. (If that turns out to be true...apparently it came from ESPN)

Guy thought Fed Ex was closed on Saturday Night, so he put it in his refrigerator for 48 hours, and that was enough to claim doubt in the test.

This doesn't mean Braun didnt have other reasons why the test was false, but Chain of Custody issue is easily the biggest way to get off, so he went after that.

He is supposed to speak tomorrow and will tell exactly what happened etc.

I'm not surprised he won. Baseball'd lose even more credibility if the MVP was busted for steroids immediately after the season.

According to Will Carroll who has knowledge of this sort of stuff. He writes for SI:

“@injuryexpert: Repeatable result showed exactly how Braun's single test showed positive. Arbitrator agreed. Simple, isn't it?”

“@injuryexpert: The Braun decision was based on HOW the sample was corrupted. Panel was shown exactly what happened, why result was invalid.”

Braun was able to prove why the test was invalid and produced the same exact results etc on a second test.

If that is true, would explain why it took so long and why he got off.

A bit surprised at the outcome. But obviously if there is doubt in the results because the process occurred incorrectly, then the results should be thrown out. Does that mean hes innocent? I doubt his true innocence on the matter, but he sure as shit cant be proven guilty. Heres to the NL Central getting a little less shitty.

VERY well put! I think where there is smoke there is fire, and in my eyes he is likely guilty, but there is reason to doubt the test so, very odd indeed.

What did he say?

Went through how the handling process was done. The Handler passed over 10 Fed Exes offices that were open but didnt turn it in. The day he turned it in it was at 1:30 when office open at 7:30.. Just alot of weird things
