"The doctors did a great job getting the pin out. It was a little bent apparently," Noah said recently. "It's usually a 10-minute procedure, and it took a little bit longer than that. It's probably my fault. But I'm happy it's done. I don't have a pin in my finger anymore, and I'm just waiting for it to heal."

Noah wasn't sure why the pin was bent.

"Lifting weights or something," he said. "The doctor wasn't very happy about it. So Dr. [Mark] Cohen, I apologize. I made your job a little harder than you probably wanted to, but he's a nice guy, and I'm happy that he got the pin out without it breaking. I'm happy that I'll be back healthy soon."

i love the guy's work ethic.

I find it funny that a lot of Bulls fans thought he was a bum who didn't have the dedication to make it in the NBA during his second season.

That's due to the party boy image he cultivated in college. Most people thought he would be a joke of a player, but me, on the other hand, knew after watching him in back to back NCAA Championships that he was the most important player on that team, was fun to watch & root for, & was a bundle of non-stop energy that laid it all out on the floor.

I didn't say it was all Bulls fans, but the perception was certainly widespread. Personally I was so happy when he fell to the Bulls, any player who passes up being the #2 pick and decides to go back to college because they think the players in the NBA don't care enough winning enough is OK in my book.

I was really hoping we would get him in the draft. Boy my friends were pissed, but I was happy and could care less about the critics.

I love how a majority of Bulls fans acted like they always had faith in Noah and loved him from day 1. Everywhere around the net people couldnt stand him, me being one of them. He acted like he didnt even want to play in the NBA at times. He didnt show the heart and work ethic that he does these days. It took me 1.5 seasons to warm up to him.
