Sounds like he's not going to get right this year. Maybe the best thing to do is to shut him down and let it heal.

Its not really going to get worse. I would just use him as a backup center now or maybe just let him rest up for the playoffs. Noc played through it for most of the year. He will need to rest in the summer.

I highly doubt that. He played 27mins tonight & fought thru pain. I for one was not expecting him to play at all tomorrow, especially after how many minutes he played tonight, so I don't see the need for extra worry.

This injury is not going to go away but it's really not getting much worse either. This gives him rest til Monday & if he doesn't play Monday then he'll have nearly a week of rest til the Memphis game on Thursday. I'm expecting his minutes to be regulated the rest of season, with him getting minutes down the stretch in big games. But Miller, Gibson, & Warrick have all stepped up to fill in the gap & we are winning games.

We're 6-1 since the all-star break & 1/2 game out of 5th. Cheer up guys! :)

I have to agree with Paul. This was a huge game for the Bulls, as they are in phenomenal position with a tough schedule comming up. We can beat Indy without Noah tomrrow. That would put us 5 games over .500 with 6 weeks to go in the season. Last season at this time we were 6 games under .500. Sit Noah a week now, try to split between Atlanta and Memphis and give it one more shot next week. I think if you can get by just casually using Noah over the next 3 weeks, we can maybe weather the tough schedule and maybe try to capture that 5 seed.

I believe that it would be best to rest him for a few weeks. Put him on IR and bring Richard back. I just think it would be best for the team down the road. I know VDN is trying to save his job but I think that will be hard anyway. His only hope, and the way to get a general backing from fans would be to have a hell of a playoff run. That is highly unlikely, but that is VDN's best chance...

A few weeks isn't going to help it that much. He already had a couple of weeks. He needs like three months to get rid of it.

I heard 6 weeks...not three months...I heard that you need about 6 weeks of constant rest...

If it was only six weeks we would have shut him down for 3-4 more weeks. Everyone has been saying its something that will have to be cured during the offseason.

There's no time table with this type of injury. My sister, who's a marathon runner, had it & was out of commission for over 2 months. It all depends on the severity & how the fast the individual recovers.

Look at Taj. He's playing with it in BOTH feet, but it's a less severe case. This injury will dog Noah the rest of the year, & sitting him for 3 or 6 weeks, while it will help, doesn't mean it will heal it fully. We need Noah down the stretch. It was clear as day last night with Aldridge torching everyone until Noah came in.

If he's going to be out for a week or whatever after playing 27 minutes he's not going to be a lot of help to us during this stretch or the playoffs. If we shut him down now he can get 6 months rest. The longer layoff the better for stress type injuries.

I think we won't shut him down because we need him to make the playoffs and there isn't really a cahnce of long term complications. Our front court is fragile, Taj is injured too, Miller can't sustain a lot of minutes and our only healthy option is Warrick. I think you will see Noah playing with it when he has too.
