Following a team meeting at the Berto Center on Sunday, second-year man Joakim Noah was in no mood to accept congratulations.
"To me, it's weird how everyone is so positive," he said. "I went to breakfast this morning and people started clapping in the restaurant. It was crazy. I was like, 'Man, we lost in the first round.' It was a little bit embarrassing.
"This is a great learning experience and I'll remember these moments for my whole life. But I think as a team, we've got to be hungry for more."
When Game 7 ended, Noah walked over and sat on the Celtics' bench for a few seconds. He was trying to greet Boston forward Glen Davis, but he was in the middle of a television interview and Noah quickly retreated to the locker room.
"I didn't even say one word to him for the whole series," Noah said. "I'll get his number from Tyrus (Thomas) and congratulate him. I just have a lot of respect for those guys.
