As the title says.. Who B. Johnson keep around from the current staff?
I think, SP coach, and DB coach stay.

Don't keep anyone unless the OC, DC, ST coach knows them and they are versed in the scheme they run. Tired of the Bears keeping guys around because they are experienced or a good guy, but don't mesh with the concepts or scheme. Hightower may stay on as the ST coach, if not then they all can go.

Fire them all. In John Hoke's NFL coaching career, the teams he has been a part of have only had a winning season twice over 22 years.
Can you name one DB coach who is better than Hoke and available now?

I'm okay with keeping Chad Morton for the entertainment value.

Seriously though, Jon Hoke and Thomas Brown are the only guys I'm interested in. The rest of the staff are agent referrals who never fit together. I'm also fine with BJ cleaning house.

I was actually wondering if this might happen. TB did a good job as OC, seemed to work well with CW, just wasn't ready to be HC. IDK. Maybe I'm nuts.
He did ok for a couple games and things went south after he became HC. Hard to really judge that.

Not sure a new coach would want a holdover in a prominent position, on his side of the team, that he isn't familiar with.

Pretty rare for an interim HC who doesn’t get the job to stick around in a smaller role.

If you keep Brown, you’re inviting the possibility of a split locker room allegiance, as I doubt T Brown and Johnson will be in lockstep about every single thing associated with the offense.

Brown will end up as a QB coach or offensive passing game coordinator somewhere. Then maybe an OC a year or two later.

Do internal interviews like interviewing last year's coaching staff count towards the Rooney rule for coordinators? I know it didn't for HC's, but it is less clear to me for the coordinator and QB coach positions.

Start fresh with all of Johnson’s hand picked guys. He’s meticulous and analytical, I’m sure he’s spent a fair amount of time thinking about what he wants on his staff.

If he keeps anyone, it has to be 100 percent because Ben wants him (or her).
