Opioids.

I follow Rex Chapman on Twitter. A former NBA player, he struggled with Opioid addiction, and is very open with his past, his struggles, and his mistakes.

He has been openly enraged after seeing the HBO documentary "Crime of the Century" which addresses the Spackler family, Purdue Pharma, and the addictions that have resulted from drugs they promoted.

McDonalds promotes their food like no other and more people die from heart disease and obesity related complications than opioids per year. Addiction is terrible but you have to put some onus on the individual if we want to have a free society where you are allowed to cause yourself harm if that is what you choose. A society with extreme restrictions on freedom of choice end up being worse and cause more harm as we have seen from the last year.
