Heard Charles Oakley (a close friend of James) says LeBron is definitely leaving Cleveland and that there are only "two possibilities" - Chicago and Miami.

As I've said on here before, there is no way I see LeBron coming to Chicago. There's a statue of Michael Jordan outside. It's the house that Jordan built. In Cleveland, he exceeded the Larry Nances and the Mark Prices in his ROOKIE year! You can't walk into the United Center and be the "best ever for an organization."

Miami is interesting though - it all depends on Wade and LeBron's egos.

Wade's Ego: The second LeBron signs that contract it's no longer Wade's city, Wade's building or Wade's team. It will become LeBron City USA. Can Dwyane Wade's ego handle that? We'll see.

LeBron's Ego: Wade's already won a title. If he signs with Miami people will say LeBron needed Dwyane Wade to win a title. Can LeBron's ego handle that? We shall see.

If they are humble and don't care about whose better than who or all that stuff and they're interested in winning at any cost, they'll win 5 titles together.

It all depends on their egoes.

Playing golf near Chicago, Michael Jordan was asked where he thinks LeBron James will sign this summer.

"Chicago," Jordan said.

Lebron knows he is the best in the world. Why would he give a damn about a statue? You don't remember Kobe wanting to come here? If Lebron comes here...there will be two statues outside of the stadium...Lebron stands on his own and doesn't need to cower from a statue.

Kobe plays with Magic Johnson's statue outside...

Ever heard of Yankee Stadium? Ruth, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Mantle? Hell Ruth's body lied in state in Yankee Stadium...nobody is intimidated when it comes to going to play for the Yankees, the most famous sports franchise in the world that originated in the U.S.

Kobe was never coming here. That's called contractural leverage, ese.

The Lakers actually traded for Kobe and he's played there his entire career. I don't think he would have refused to play for the Lakers as an 18 year old kid.

We're really going to compare the Yankees to the Bulls?

Let's see...we have Jordan....we have Pippen...uh....

We have Dave Corzine...Luc Longley...Ron Harper...Dennis Hopson..Juwann Oldham. Some of the single-most greatest top 50 players to ever lace em up.

Yep. Bulls and Yankees are the same.

Kobe wasn't coming here because the Lakers were unwilling to trade him, not because he didn't want to...and he was under contract...what leverage? That makes no damn sense at all...from this statement, and your statement about the Russian, you obviously need to learn about the NBA collective bargaining agreement.

But I will play your game, if not Kobe, what about Shaq?

As far as the Yankees go....let me help you a little bit...

Reggie Jackson, best hitter in baseball, signs with the Yankees...they have monuments, statues, everything....Mantle was not gone 10 years and he was a baseball icon. Reggie signs with the Yankees anyway...and becomes Mr. October. In that way, Yankees and Bulls are similar as the icons of the Yankees, Babe Ruth for example makes it comparable to Jordan and the Bulls. I am sure people thought the Yankees would forever be Ruth's town.

And how do you expect the Bulls to become a great franchise like the Lakers, Celtics, Yankees? Lebron James. That is a worthy aspiration, (as opposed to stating that the Bulls will rue the day that they let Gordon go, which is a statement beyond comprehension).

Lebron cares about winning, not a statue outside the stadium.

I won't compare the Bulls to the Yankees but Hou has a point, superstars are superstars no matter where they go & I for one think Lebron would welcome the challenege to step into MJ's shoes & see if he can surpass his accomplishments as the GOAT.

In order to surpass Jordan in his own town he's going to have to win 7 championships before his career is over. Supposing he has at least 8 more seasons left in him, he'll have to win the title 7 of those 8 years.

LeBron ain't coming to Chicago. No way. There's a better chance of ME signing with the Bulls than LeBron coming here.

First of all, he doesn't have to win 7 titles to be considered greater than Jordan, that is b.s.

Secondly, no matter where he went, if what you said is the case, the same standard would hold true. I don't think Lebron is intimidated by anything like that. Nor should any true superstar be. He has his own legacy, his own brand, his own name.

I believe all Lebron wants to do is win. Superstars don't think the way you think...thank God....lol.

People are more intelligent than that. Plus, wherever he goes, he will be compared to Jordan so what difference does it make. Most fans want Lebron here, especially young fans. They know little of Jordan from viewing him, but they know a lot about Lebron. I don't think Lebron thinks anything like you figure he does.

Plus he is a GLOBAL athlete. He only cares about winning, I believe, because Madison Avenue recognizes winners. He has stated he wants to be a billion-dollar athlete. Well, Chicago is one of the ways he can do that...plus as I said before, Jordan himself has stated that he believes Lebron is coming to Chicago...I think Lebron can stamp his own legacy. I mean damn...

These Bron will live in the shadow of MJ arguments are insane. Bird didn't live in the shadow of Russel, Shaq didn't live in the shadow of Kareem, Kobe doesn't live in the shadow of West and Deron doesn't live in Stockton's shadow. Bron won't live in MJ's shadow.

What are you, a Rhode scholar or something? You got a perfect score on your SAT's I'm guessing?

No? Hmm.

Guess people are more intelligent than even you then as well.

lol

You don't need a perfect score on the SATs to be glad that they don't think the way you suggest they think. Otherwise, the Lakers wouldn't have gotten Shaq...explain that. Wilt, Kareem, Magic's statue outside, why would Shaq go there? Help me out with that.

Not a Rhodes Scholar at all, a pretty average student. I was ambitious and tenacious bruh, like Hinrich on defense. And I got the job done...

To establish some context:

Shaq went to LA with the distorted belief that he was better than all of those guys - Wilt, Kareem, Magic, the whole lot of them. Some guy wrote this book saying he was the best player of all-time...he thought he was better than those guys. It's easy to go when you think you'd be the best player to ever play for that franchise.

Yet in LeBron's case he knows he isn't Michael Jordan and never will be Michael Jordan. That's an entirely different ballgame.

There's a better chance of the Bulls signing Wilt Chamberlain than there is signing James.

I keep telling you guys but you won't listen. Boy are you in for a crushing disappointment.

Then you are in no position to offer your commentary on other peoples intelligence, Mr. Average Student. It's Elitist Thinking of the highest and most disturbing kind.

Lebron doesn't want to be Michael Jordan, he is Lebron friggin' James! a superstar in his own right. Your explanation is null and void....

I can comment on someone's intelligence, or lack of intelligence when it comes to basketball because I happen to know what I am talking about, and you post on forums high off some rabid drugs. That is the true difference. I don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to know you are a special ed. student when it comes to basketball...

And you should read your posts before you call anything anyone else says disturbing.

I just don't see Bron being scared of MJ. MJ was great but at the end of the day, those guys are going to be #1a and 1b wherever BRon goes. He won't escape the the comparison because of his greatness. This isn't like the next jordan of the 90's stackhouse and Vc. People are going to be looking for the next Bron.
