Oduya is a turn over machine. I think he was on ice for every goal last night. If you are going to go with only 5 D-men, how is this the move you make? Just like breaking up Toews and Kane after they played great together late in the Red Wings series, I just don't see the sense in it.

JJ put on hockeybuzz the Hawks were aggressively trying to deal him. With the GM meetings yesterday, something might be up.

Well I know dunc and Seabs were on the ice for the goal that bounced on the net.

Leddy is no case of solid with the puck and turn over causing. He's just young and risky. I like Leddy but not gonna over hype him at this stage.

I don't have a huge issue with what Q did because Roz was playing a good game. To me it seems everyone plays worse when partnered with Leddy. Seabs, hammer, Keith, rozi... All play better even with just a guy like Oduya. It's a better situation I see.

I'd dump Opooya in a hurry before i'd dump Leddy.

I know Leddy isn't exactly a wizard defensively but he's only 22.

Then again, I've hated Opooya since he was traded here then later re-signed. :puke:

Leddy wasn't playing well. Oduya has been pretty decent this postseason, especially considering he has been playing in the #4/5 position. I highly doubt the Leddy sitting had anything to do with trade talk, just wouldn't happen with a few games left at most in the season.

I could see Leddy going this offseason though if he is asking for too much money. Plenty of teams out there would love to get their hands on a young player like Leddy and the salary cap may dictate his future.

Really. A trip into the Q Doghouse is not gonna get a 22 year old kid with star potential traded.....well, not unless his agent is looking for 5 or 6 mil.

He isn't eligible for arbitration even. No way contract dispute is effecting anything yet.

I will contribute to this conversation by only saying I get more nervous when I see Oduya playing defense ,especially behind our net, than anyone else.

But that's just my laymen observations.
