It’s the first time I can recall that an episode of Hard Knocks Training Camp didn’t have an F Bomb fired by anyone.

Is that George having a hand in the final cut?

It was average. Not the best but not the worst. There was some insightful stuff but nothing earth-shattering. I did enjoy the lighter moments but they also showed some people with more serious concerns. They know the QB 1 position is solidified so they focused elsewhere a bit but they gave Williams enough presence. I give it a solid C or maybe B- since it was the Bears.

Full disclosure: I haven't seen the episode or read any articles about it. In fact, I've never watched Hard Knocks in my life.

I watched it with my family now that we are all of fixed address in the same part of the world - one of my brothers is the only one to have seen Hard Knocks before. I think I enjoy the show, but it felt like they left meat on the bone where they could have gotten into how the new players are building relationships with those that were around last year. I would like to see more of the players building friendships and working relationships in episode one.

Honestly, showing Simone Biles got my nieces to perk up and pay attention, and then they were invested in what Flus's family were saying from the stands. They are in that age where they think girls shouldn't do "boy things" so it was great to have people on the show that gave them an "in" to be interested in the Bears.

I think they cut the film to make it seem like Caleb is struggling through practice with small breakthroughs. But that might just be because I see a clip here and there of a brilliant throw made to look easy.

DJ Moore is my favorite personality on this team and I am glad they showed him being brought in to sign his extension.

lol i swear DJ was ready to shake his head when asked if collin johnson was gonna make the team. Then realized he's on hard knocks and said "How many WR's you think we keep?"

So dudes in eagle underwear are OK but F Bombs are unacceptable?

Maybe VIRGINIA made the final cut! 😆

It was rather boring. But I don't care because it's my fav team.

The first episode goes along the lines of what this team has been known for from the front office. Keeping everything in-house without letting the media know anything.

Had this been last year, maybe some Alain Williams flirting would've been caught.

Wasn't really into Saban telling Flus how to treat C.Williams and what it takes to develop him as a NFL QB. I don't want a guy who's never developed a QB in the NFL before telling our defensive HC how to do it. The way players are coached up in college compared to the NFL are very different.

I wish there was more film of the players showing their friendships and how they mess with each other on and off the field. I need to see who messes with who and who goes to who for questions about something whether it's football related or even personal. Need the cussing as well which it wouldn't shock me if George and Warren purposely wouldn't let them put it on the show.

All in all i wasn't expecting too much from episode one and think it'll get better as it goes.

It was fine. The biggest storyline was the backup QB battle but I guess there’s not much going on at the moment
What battle? They never mentioned Bagents name nor did they show his shitty start in the game. Obvious Bears had them edit that out. Gonna be nothing but a fluff show since the Bears have the final say over what gets on TV

Reality TV in general is boring. Any of it that is "entertaining" is all fake/scripted generated for views.

I'm sure we'd have enjoyed it more if we didnt follow the bears TC updates nonstop like that one mod on here.

Flus played and coached under Saban early in his career. Saban has always been his mentor. This was about the student getting advice from his mentor. Not just two football coaches shooting the shit. I'm sure there were more conversations between these two off camera that didn't look this cringe. All these one on one conversations on HK in front of the cameras never has the same feel as what probably takes place off camera.

They don't show cuts on the show anymore.
Yeah that’s gotta be brutal knowing that your employer is firing you on TV in front of millions of viewers.
