back in duh day Ryan Pace went ALL IN trying to get Russ . . . what could have been boyz

#woah
The Bears were so invested in trading for Wilson that the offer reportedly included three first round picks, a 2021 third rounder, and two “starters” (air quotes around starters, as one of the apparent players involved has since been released).

Pace got his wish. Russ taking over for Trubisky…

Honestly Russ has enough money, can Denver just pay me not to play for them?

This is a tough one for Russ. He went to a place where he is a clear starter, with quality weapons where he can succeed based on his own talent.

At the same time, that is one hell of a division to compete in. He could be performing at his best, and miss out on a playoff run because the Bengals are a shoe-in with a healthy Burrow, Jackson can take over any Sunday before you consider that his team is also competitive for a playoff spot, and the Browns can compete with a has-been off the couch.

The Steelers could be really darn good this year.
They could be or Russ could just flat out be done. I personally think Wilson and the head cases of Johnson/Pickens is not a good match.

Russ wasn't bad in Denver last year especially considering the slow star they had. 15 games, 3k yards, 26-8 TD-INT, passer rating of 98.

I don’t think he was bad but there are reasons why Den got rid of him. Living here in CO, I could tell you the majority of fans I talked to hated him.

...and look at how many fans here want to keep Justin Fields and trade away one of the best QB prospects in decades. Russ does seem like a weird dude, but as long as he plays well and the team does well, oh well. We'll see though.

Inflated stats due to bubble screens and smoke routes. He averaged less than 7 yards an attempt
