For awhile now we all knew we needed a SG. I think this topic deserves its own thread. I think Lee would fit great and he'd be my main target. Mayo would be great as well.

Latest:
The Bulls are still looking for perimeter help to space the floor for star Derrick Rose.

K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune writes that reports of the Bulls pursuing Denver's J.R. Smith are false. In addition, Detroit's Richard Hamilton and Charlotte's Stephen Jackson carry lengthy contracts.

Chicago has scouted Houston's Courtney Lee, but his outside shooting would likely only represent a small upgrade.

"We'll be fine," Rose said. "Boozer and I are developing some chemistry, and we just have to execute our offense better."

Via K.C. Johnson/Chicago Tribune

Also we are supposedly looking at Martell Webster

It seems as though we keep hearing that the FO is being aggressive in scouting for a new SG. Wonder when we could actually see proof of them pursuing a player. Some articles with credibility or something. I mean, the way Thibs talks....he doesn't want anyone. Hope that is just water under the bridge when he speaks to the media. You know he wants an upgrade. lol

I'm game for Webster. I think he is the cheapest option and isn't an expiring. His contract will be pretty valuable after next year when he is unguarnteed. I'd go JJ, Bogans and 2nd for him.

i duno. we're not trading much for a rotation player, so i'm all for going for webster. On the other hand, he's so often injured that i wouldn't give up anythign worthwhile for him. I don't know if minny would be willing to settle for a terrible player in bogans, a gamble in JJ, and a 2nd for a rotation player that's not really making too much money. if they do, i'm in. On the other hand, he's not really made out of stone. do you want to trade a first rounder for another sf that's injury prone?

I don't want anything. Bulls should keep the team they have now unless they can get Anthony for Deng, Gibson, and Johnson.

On (yet off) Topic:

- T'Wolves fans believe they are in the main running for O.J. Mayo. Over teams like Chicago & even New York. :lmao:

- T'Wolves fans believe that if Chicago makes a trade for Martell Webster that it will be for Taj Gibson. They forgot that it will be Bogans in for him...not Taj as much. :smug2:

Silly T'Wolves fan. Basketball is for real franchises.

(i.e., I get all my T'Wolves info from my cousin. He's a T'Wolves fan.)

I said month or so ago....Brandon Rush should be our starter....People would be surprised on how good he would be here in Chicago. Question is how much would the Pacers want.

Lee an upgrade? You have to be shitting me. I'm pretty sure both Korver and Brewer are >>>> Lee.

Well Korver is not better than Lee that's for sure. Brewer is debatable, however Lee is a legitimate outside threat who's pretty much equal in size, athleticism, & defensive skill. Lee is an upgrade either way you slice it, even if it's only a minor one.

I've been a Brandon Rush fan since his days in Kansas so I'd loved to see him in red, black, & white if it's possible.

I agree that Courtney Lee is a better option to tide you over until the Bulls get a good shooting guard. And he shouldn't cost you much either. He can guard pgs and sgs.

Its not inevitable but I would think that is the way management would approach the idea of bringing Lee in...

Korver might not be better but Brewer is although they're both athletic, and Courtney can shoot from deep, Brewer obviously can't but that's why he has a high IQ and he takes quality shots.
