I'm not that old so my favorite moment has to be the Stanley Cup last year. The year I was born they went to the Stanley Cup and the year I became an "adult" they won the Stanley Cup. It was just great for the city.

Probably only a few of us remember the record 11 straight playoff wins in 91-92...which was eventually tied by the Pens when they swept us in the finals that very playoff season. I think they put up a couple more wins the following season before losing.

Damn those games were close.

I remember when I took a puck on the foam rubber only section of my pants.... inside right leg ... in about a week it looked like a pruple, maroon, and yellow firework had exploded -say about a couple of inches away from where it would have been much worse.

I remember that in about the same fashion as the 92 Finals against the Penguins, and yes - every single game was close - so close it was rather ridiculous that it was a sweep.

Mind you it was just about as painful... Jagr and his mullet ( and not a playoff one either). :/

my personal best memory was a few weeks after my birthday in 75 when me, my dad and gramps were at a game against the kings sitting in the same seats (my gramps season tix) i had sat in at least 100 times before, with my baseball glove, and caught a puck that was shot by marcel dionne and deflected up into the seats by magnusson, the only reason i remember the hawks lost that specific game was because of the puck, which i lost a few years later playing pond hockey

I was lucky enough to attend 3 playoff games in the 92 run. What made it possible was the strike during the season caused many season ticket holders to pass on buying playoff tickets, so a lot more tickets were available to the general public than would have otherwise.

The best and most painful was going to game 3 of the Finals where they lost 1-0 to the Penguins. I had awesome seats - 2nd row in the first balcony. Those tickets were supposed to be game 5 against Edmonton in the conference finals, but the Hawks swept the Oilers and the tickets rolled in to the first home game of the SCF, which was game 3.

I would rate last year's cup win over 1992 and it's not even close. They didn't win the cup in 92.

Blackhawks were the first team to use a goal horn. The Wirtz family used a horn from off one of their boat.

+1 just for using a Judas Priest: Screaming for Vengeance cover...

How about Tom Lysiak dumping a linesman - then getting a 20 game suspension -and the guy wasn't even someone to even get all that many PIM in seasons. . . talk about snapping.
