DEVIN WHITE vs BEARS RUSHING OFFENSE

After a disastrous debut for the 2023 Chicago Bear offense at Solider Fields, Justin Fields and his band of not so merry gentlemen take the show on the road to face a formidable defense in Tampa Bay. The Bears need to get back what they do best and that is run the football. The top rushing unit of 2022 never really got going in their home opener and it's not going to get any easier against a Buccaneer defense that shut down the Vikings' rushing attack in week one. That was mostly thanks to Tampa Bay linebacker Devin White flying all over the field, earning a 92.4 PFF grade. To the Bears advantage, they have a QB with great legs and a rookie back that was literally the only good thing to happen to this offense last Sunday. Can the Bears get back to be a top rushing offense or will White lead the way to a second straight shut out in run defense?

TEVITA TULI'AKI'ONO TUIPULOTU MOSESE VA'HAE FEHOKO FALETAUE VEA vs LUCAS PATRICK

Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea has been a force to reckon with in the NFL and that's not just about trying to spell his name although I have often wondered if any sports writers frequently use Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea as an easy way to hit a 500 word minimum because the way Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea collapses a pocket each and every week makes Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea a fun player to write about and very cash lucrative unless the journalistic community is wise to it and you are forbidden from writing out Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea and have to use the total weaksauce "Vita Vea". No matter what you call him, Lucas Patrick is going to call him the man that ended my career because he is going to be destroyed by Tevita Tuliʻakiʻono Tuipulotu Mosese Vaʻhae Fehoko Faletau Vea.

TODD BOWLES vs LUKE GETSY

It's pretty simple for both coaches this week. Bowles will continue his ways of sending extra blitzers at your quarterback until he breaks or he breaks Bowles. The Bucs last shot at Justin Fields was his rookie year, where they shut out the young signal caller while notching up four sacks, three interceptions and two fumbles in a 38-3 massacre. But that was Matt Nagy, now Luke Getsy gets his shot where all he simply has to do is the polar opposite of the disastrously awful Week One game plan. Piece of cake!

That Justin Jefferson tweet stat can’t be correct. Brandon Marshall had more than 5,134 receiving yards. Maybe I’m reading that wrong?

TB's DL is going butt **** our iOL. Bowles is going to blitz like crazy, hopefully Getsy has an outlet on *every* play for immediate pressure because Bears QB is going to see a ton. Honestly think traditional under center PA where Fields turns his back to the D is going to be a death sentence, so a lot of PA out of shotgun, sprint outs, bootlegs need to come in like 4 wide formations so that LB/DB has to blitz from farther out or tip what they are doing presnap by lining up in a gap. Maybe Bears are smart enough to have hot routes installed so that if TB does decide to just leave receivers uncovered to let the DB who would be over them blitz that we arent asking that guy to run a 15 yard dig or vert or something that has no chance of developing in time. Personally think the Bears can find good matchups by starting in compressed formations but then motioning their TE or RBs out wide forcing TB to tip information early or position unfavorably.

Until the team actually shows they can win a game, I'm just gonna pick against them every week moving forward.

This is one of the two noon Fox games this year the Bears won't be on cause of the Packers here in WI, I think the Raiders game is the other one, but I'll be in Chicago for something else anyways. I'll listen to half the game on the radio driving back when I'm done.

I remember Da Coach's game plan:

Payton left.

Payton right.

Payton up the middle.

Punt.

Field position game.

Attrition.

What would Coach Mike Ditka do?

If he were here right now?

Will the Bears be able to get enough of an early lead to overcome Fields being out of gas and cramping by the 4th quarter?

No. TB 27 Bears 17.

Vita Vea will eat Coach's Pet Lucas Patrick for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert and Bowles loves to dial up blitzes. Over/Under for Fields scrambles should be between 10-15 and that's a conservative estimate. Hopefully, QB1 doesn't get concussed or have any bones broken,

[Green font]Did you guys know that Vita Vea is actually not his full name? Didn't know if you guys knew that, and I didn't see it mentioned...[/green font]

Regardless, by the end of the day today, he will be known as "Lucas Patrick's daddy"...

*Interesting plot twist* - Bears completely DOMINATE the Bucs....and we can't celebrate cause CCS is down...

Anybody else lose their excitement over the season already?

I was pumped for week 1, but after the embarrassment of losing that game, I feel almost apathetic about today. I've lost hope with this regime, and I feel like they may have just ruined another promising quarterback due to coaching incompetence.

I expect a slightly better performance than last week, but I don't feel good about this game overall. Baker Mayfield is bad, but bad quarterbacks can shred NFL defenses if they have enough time. Baker has great receivers at his disposal to do just that. If Eberflus can't scheme up more pressure than Allan Williams, it's going to be another long day for the defense.

I’ve got to think Getsy will roll fields out of the pocket a lot today. If not, Getsy is a complete buffoon and needs to go

He needs to use Kmet as a safety valve for Fields a lot today. Find DJ moore on some hot routes and let him work his YAC magic

Run right at Vea with double teams and see how he responds. Many times running right at a guy is the best way to neutralize him some

And lastly, I’d LOVE to see the bears run some tempo. After a nice play, how bout we hurry to the line and keep the defense from subbing and put em on their heels. I’m not saying become a no huddle team, but for fucks sake mix it in there some

This shouldn’t be that difficult to figure out, yet here we are
