I still expect them to bring in a RB and for the coaching staff to find the best combination of runners.

There is not enough competition. My guess is that they are about to move around some salary and bring in someone via trade or FA shortly.

I heard Wanny mention that Greg Schiano flew him out to Rutgers for 3 days last year to watch his team practice.
He said what we see that he is tough, more quick than fast and will be playing day 1 for the Bears.
He also mentioned that he believes that they will bring another RB in and run the shit out of the ball.

You know this guy will be busting ass in every practice too.

As an add, JK Dobbins would be high risk, high reward. He’s the RB I would target, but there’s no way I’m giving him two years unless the second year has zero guaranteed money.

It’s funny how many Bears fans were bashing anyone saying they should select a RB high, but then by round 5 everyone’s losing their minds. Kyle looks damn good with limited injury history and flawless ball handling. This is a really good pick. Maybe Swift will teach him how to catch.
Its even funnier that many know how deep this draft was at the devalued rb position, and yet they belittle the Monangai pick as just a 7th rounder as if that means he isn't good and therefore another veteran RB is needed.

He would seem to be the likely target, but any team would have to look at his medicals before doing anything.
I can't see him getting too much, so imo it's probably worth the risk if they think he's ok.
On a side note, Wanny also saw Turner primarily as a DT and loved the Dalman signing for Caleb which I thought was the most important signing to do even before FA began.

They might be able to kick a bit of Thuney's money down the road.

GM's think differently then fans do. Fans want all the talent but GM's have to find ways to save cap space.
Well offloading Moore doesn't make much financial sense next off-season either. It'd be far more practical and cost effective to cut Kmet and Edmunds at that time if you're hard up for cash. Moore is a really productive WR in a league where you field at least three WRs for most of the game.

And even then, it doesn't make a lot of money sense to offload Moore's contract until at least 2027, when the team has in excess of $160M in uncommitted dollars.

I want to be a neutral observer here, but it looks to me that you are throwing out a guess at what might work instead of considering the more practical options at freeing up cap space.

Turner is going to have a major impact on the Bears defensive front this season. Very quick and disruptive DT.
Turner is my favorite pick if they intend to get his weight up to around 295 and kick him inside.

I didn't know alot about him when the Bears picked him outside of him playing on the Aggies defense and that he basically went through the same motions that Walter Nolen went through as a twitchy defensive lineman on a shaded hybrid front.

On his tape hes quick, he's twitchy/hard to get your hands on him, stout base and low center of gravity and he blasts off the LOS with a punch. I'm not worried about his collegiate production coming out of the Aggies defense.

My biggest gripe is his missed tackles. I get that bitching about missed tackles is as common as old people bitching about the weather but it's bad with Turner, he does miss on too many tackles.

Wright is a really good player; if he can make the switch to LT, I am all for it.
