Windy does a great job with his mock offseasons but there are so many moving pieces and its truly impossible to accurately predicted.

However it seems apparent we will be addressing OT/OG, CB, & OLB aggressively in off season. I foresee two premier starters in FA and one in 1st round. What is your preference?

I think I'd prefer CB and OL in FA with OLB coming in draft. However, it looks as if OLB is quite poor in draft. Which would incline me to take OL in draft. Are there any worthy of Top 10? Or do we really really hope Hargraves falls, which I doubt.

Assuming the Bears hit on them

Free Agent CB
Free Agent S/ILB/DE

Draft Pass Rusher

This team needs multiple CBs.

I think you've got a good start there and in the other thread, you're right that we can't target fix everything.

Having said that, wouldn't you agree that improving the pass rush regardless of it's at DE or OLB and signing a quality CB would greatly improve the defense.

And adding another quality olineman through the draft or free agency could solidify the oline.

I think adding three quality players at CB, OLB or DE and on the Oline would help so many other deficiencies. Include better overall special teams blocking, coverage and find a return man could also do wonders.

In free agency, is look for the best CB i could sign, a DE that fits, ILB and an OT or OG. In the draft I'd look to add a young pass rusher at DE or OLB, KR, OT, SS and whatever position we didn't fix in free agency.

Don't think we'll get studs at all positions of need but i do think we can come out of the offseason with a better CB group, pass rush, some role players on special teams and get some decent competition at SS, OT, OG and ILB.

The only good thing about losing is drafting ILB Smith in 1sr round. If Bears can get one of the CBs from St. Louis, man that would improve the D tremendously. 65 million will buy talent hopefully hit like the Bears hit on McPhee. Rolle is just hot garbage.

For comparison:

CB: Vernon Hargreaves III - 1st Rounder
OLB: Von Miller
OL: Russell Okung

CB: Trumaine Johnson
OLB: Von Miller
OL: Ronnie Staley - 1st Rounder

CB: Trumaine Johnson
OLB: Leonard Floyd - 1st Rounder
OL: Russell Okung

Assuming you can sign those guys.

Bears will have money, but that sometimes is not enough in a market where many teams will be flush with cap space.

I know Von Miller is a big John Fox fan, but I dont know if he wants to leave Denver unless Payton retires but that would be a big big signing.

I'd be fine with the Von Miller signing if he keeps his nose clean

They need a RG and possibly an OT, but I do not see them making a huge investment.

RG is the biggest need on the OL IMO. Suckducasse needs to be benched

The problem with FA of late is that the prices have gotten ridiculous. Just look what Maxwell got last year as an above average CB. You break the bank on 1 or 2 players and it leaves little depth.

He doesn't have a coke problem its weed that's the problem

Gateway drug dude!

He's missed games due to substance abuse. In todays God-dell NFL...that's a red flag.
