Is it me or do these concerts at the super bowl, and all star NBA weekends suck? I just dont like any of these performances and they seem to get worse every year:shot:

They have kids in the audience. It's extraordinarily rare to find a performer that targets the mix of cultures that watch sporting events, and have catchy songs without any type of hidden innuendo. LOL

Although stern could try it next year.

Start a letter campaign to the league planners, Prope will definitely jump in and help.

They can keep that shit. I care about the sport and celebrating it. This stuff is stuff they are doing for the non NBA/NFL fans that are just watching it because everyone else is.

Actually these concerts have been very successful for the NFL especially and the NBA. So don't expect them to stop. Springsteen, the Stones, Paul McCartney, Janet Jackson's breast? Large followings for each of those...lol

Maybe true, but for sports fans (not the casual ones), this is just prolonging the event we came to see.

I have no problem with the halftime show at the Superbowl. There are a billion people watching and probably a third of them just want to see the commercials. The rest of it, I could live without.

I have the Daytona 500 on in the background and there is some kind of Country concert going on. I know many NASCAR fans are country, red-neck, good-ole-boy hillbillies, but still ... The performances may bring in viewers who normally wouldn't watch, but I guarantee the vast majority of them tune out when the game/match/race starts.

These sporting events can stand on their own merit. They don't need to be turned into a rock concert.

And that's half the reason ticket prices for these events are through the roof! Cuz your paying for concerts. Now I know they've been successful...but they suck IMO

Personally, I <3'd The Who at last year's SB...I thought BEP did well bringing in Slash and Usher this year...thought they'd be better served to do one less of their songs and bring Beibs or Katy Perry in to reach more audiences, but overall, not too shab. The concert last night was lulz, but, whatev...
