Anyone watching this six part documentary. Really, really good so far and I heard from the interwebz that it only gets better.

I read an article the other day from one of O.J. old police friends and he swears OJ will come out and say he murdered Brown and Goldman before his life is over. I mean he cant go to jail for it. He has no money and has been sued for everything he had/has and then some.

If the glove don't fit... It's cause he stopped taking his medication for arthritis several weeks prior to trying on the gloves, that had been left soaked in blood, over vinyl gloves.

Furhman didn't mess anything up. The prosecution was a joke. The police handed the DA what should have been the easiest case in US criminal history to try and they fucked it up. The only thing the DA didn't have was a video of OJ doing the crime.

All true. The only think they weren't able to link him to were the rare Bruno Magli shoes which the lawyer in the civil case was able to link him to with video and pics of him wearing them while doing football commentary during a game.

The evidence chain was incorrect and his testimony was a train wreck. The DA is to blame I agree... and did say they had tons of evidence.

The evidence chain was fine. If it was such an issue in the civil case it would have been the same story in regards to the evidence being at issue.

It wasn't.

The DA's office completely fucked up in handling the "issue".

Fuhrman wasn't even the lead investigator on the case. Clark and Darden did maybe the worst witness prep/witness selection job I've ever seen.

This.

Not calling Jill Shively was a fucking joke as well. Clark completely threw her under the bus in pre-trial proceedings.

When they asked if he planted evidence he took the 5th...
Sort of puts anything he touched in doubt.

Again I agree the DA did a poor job.
Civil cases don't require beyond a reasonable doubt...

You don't understand how the 5th Amendment works.

Read up on it.

It doesn't work like it does on TV and the movies. Furhman and numerous legal experts have covered this.

And again, there were ways to get around the Furhman issue. Clark and Darden, for God knows what reason, chose not to take advantage of them.

Fuhrman and his investigative partner did amazing work. Clark and Darden didn't even both calling Fuhrman's partner. It was absurd.

You're missing the point of me bringing up the civil trial.

In the civil trial if The Simpson team wanted to bring up accusations of planting or evidentiary chain of custody issues they would have had to present evidence showing their theory. They couldn't provide evidence of it so they couldn't bring it up. If no evidence for it existed it should have(and was) basic legal work by the Los Angeles DA to fight back against it in the criminal case.

Doesn't matter what I think of the 5th... Matters what the jury thought.
However I agree with you... The DA is to blame. In the end they had control.
I still remember when the verdict was read... I did not expect the outcome.

That's the point.

The prosecution was terrible but having Fuhrman get caught perjuring himself regarding the use of the N word to a largely black jury in LA right after the King riots and with all the animosity between blacks and the LAPD was extremely damaging.

Also the chain of custody was an issue because it was Fuhrman and his partner Roberts that found most of the evidence but Vannater according to Fuhrman himself took credit for Roberts discoveries hence why Roberts disappeared from the official report.

Fuhrman also claims Vannater didn't secure the crime scene and left evidence just lying around.
