“Go back in time and draft Mahomes.”
Hardy har har.
For real, though. What do the Bears need to do to win this game?
“Play a perfect game” isn’t really an answer, I think. We’ve seen the Bears play really good teams and have their chances despite making mistakes and not playing perfect. (For example, the Packers game last week and the Tampa game.)
Despite being down multiple guys, I think this defense needs to reach down into themselves and see if they can be the 2018 Bears for ONE GAME.
Play lights-out, dynamic swarming defense for one game.
If you’re the offense, I think you play a protect-the-ball type of game, run-heavy, milking the clock, while also sprinkling in your shots every now and then.
Not terribly different from the Packer game. They actually had a good game plan for that game. They just didn’t execute well or take advantage of chances.
If the defense can play vintage Bears defense for ONE GAME, while the offense puts up an efficient 20+/25+ point game, this team at least has a chance.
I’m not counting on it, but hey, even Washington had their chances last night.
