Yes, because Mod 1 let everyone post about 133 pound ball sacks without the ban hammer... I think the change in venue needs to be accounted for.

There were more quality threads there and certainly much more analysis. Since the mods didnt tolerate anything but exacting obedience all you could do was post analsys and jerking Crowls around.

In the 60s NFL teams did not broadcast home games even if they sold out tickets. There were only 12 games not 16 so you only saw the Bears road games for a total of 6 games a year.

The old AFL was trying to gain stature and showed their games on NBC. But they featured the Jets, Raiders and Chiefs almost every weekend. Joe Namath was the highest paid player in all of football and NBC and the AFL were going to get their money's worth. So the Jets were on tv almost every week. So in Chicago you saw the Jets 12 times plus playoff games and the Bears 6 times a year. There were tons of Jets fans in Chicago then cause they were the predominatn team.

When Joe Namath left the Jets in 1971 I stopped following them. Yet, moron, GoBears thinks Im still a Jet fan

Thats odd how home teams didnt get there games shown. So were you a bears fan too? Or just jets til 71?
