The impact of the Beatles and Paul McCartney can't be overstated. Here is a video of Springsteen referring to the influence of Paul McCartney. The second is Joe Walsh talking about him. But it's not just these two but hundreds of other famous musicians saying the same thing. Oh, and Jimi Hendrix was preforming the entire Sgt Peppers album live in his own show two days after it was released in the 60s

Love Joe Walsh. Seen him twice with the Eagles. Wish I could have seen him back in the day though.
