That's it.

.500 hockey brings the Cup to Chicago.

It will be the hardest win to achieve in the boys' careers.

Words cannot begin to describe the feelings going through my head right now.

The boys imposed their will on Philly last night, and answered every one of their counterpunches with one of our own.

LET'S GO HAWKS!

Just remember, Detroit was in this exact same situation last year and lost the cup. They thrashed Pittsburgh in game 5 and yet squandered two opportunities after that. The Hawks have to put their foot on the throats of the Flyers. Coming back to the UC on Friday should be viewed as completely unacceptable in their minds' eye.

Agreed, but put it this way: At least we're home for game 7. Do you know how huge that is? Not many teams get an opportunity like that.

I want the Hawks to play like tomorrow is game 7. Go in for the kill and take care of business on the road.

I would absolutely want the Cup hoisted here and going deaf from all the noise.

That said....

I don't care. Get it done in Philly. I can deal with that.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I would think making Philly cry on thier home ice would be sweeter than the idolation of the fans...and they still get that with the parade.

That being said, yes, if the team is not mentally, pvysically, spiritually, and psychologically ready to close thing thing out on Wednesday, it's an epic fail.

I actually worry about the safety of the players as they leave the arena if they have the Cup with them. I also worry about those classless douchebags ruining the on ice celebration by throwing food and garbage (maybe even batteries) at the players as they skate around with the Cup.

Make no mistake, I want them to close out the Finals on Weds... just saying.

If they were to win it on Wed or Fri. And when Toews has the cup, the guy he should give it too IMO would be Hossa, not because he is my Favorite Hawk, but the guy busted his ass during these playoffs and was not selfish is willing to go above and beyond to create plays and dish the puck.

One more win... and we have to wait three days!

That was a great game last night, hopefully it'll carry over into Game 6.

Meanwhile, here in Canada most of the hockey news is devoted to Philly. For the life of me I can't understand this... topics of discussion - Pronger, Leighton or Boucher, will Laviolette make line changes, blah blah blah....

For Chrissake enough already. And what gets me is that the people discussing these things really know their hockey, but just seem to ignore Chicago, or when they do talk about our Hawks are saying how Niemi is not a good goalie etc.

BTW on Off the Record a former hockey player (I forget who, he played 300 games in the NHL) said that the Buf hit on Pronger last night had the same affect on Philly as if Chicago scored.

I think it was more devastating than a goal, simply because it sent the message that Buff and the Hawks had enough of his crap. If the refs weren't going to call it, screw 'em, we'll take care of it ourselves.

I couldn't agree more. You also didn't see Pronger so quick to pull his usual BS after he got blown up.

I say dispose of the Goonies post haste and hoist the cup.

Apparently, the NHL feels the same. New commercial shows it and is captioned "What if Chicago could be bullied?"
