They are not to be taken lightly. Beating KC IN Kc while having 4 of your impact players being held out (as they were initially loaned to City from KC) is a hell of a statement. KC didn't play a full starting line-up, but they didn't play a bench mob either.

That being said, most of the City squad are guys that have international (limited and lower division), or MLS and now lower-league experience.

What I'm saying is, looks ARE deceiving. This will not be a walk in the park. I would rather the Fire respect their opponents (on this occasion) and come out ready to fucking annihilate City--rather than come out loose and unfocused and get the boot put to them.

All said and done, it's going to be 3-2 Fire. City scores through Dwyer and Tan and the Fire get goals from Alex (a brace for him) and Magee

Magee doesn't even need to be mentioned anymore, we expect it from him haha. Though the streak does have to end at some point.

Magee goes 7 for 7 as the Fire win 5-1!

Rolfe, Nyarko, Rolfe, Magee (amazing 7 in 7), Lindpere.

I think we have our starting 11 for the rest of the season...

And now no USOC till August 7th, should be a nice breather and a return of focus to MLS action.

5-1 beatdown over the probable future MLS team, nice

Umm....what is the Open Cup and how come whatever it is , it isn't on television.

:dunno: sorry

A tournament of all US soccer teams pretty much: major, minor, developmental and a few independent amateurs. And the Fire streamed it, the Finals will be on TV nationally.

We were drunk on goals, but the defense was shambolic and that will need to be fixed by the time the next set of matches rolls around.

You could tell the guys were gassed though as they were playing a lot of mindless defense and were flat-footed so many times......3 games in 7 days will do that to anyone.

Sean John gets a call for the Gold Cup, which means he'll be out most of July, but he should be back in time for the game against DC. Bakary will hopefully have time to get his knees (or a his walker) back in order.

Lasltly, I heard DC United went to Rome to see the pope.

It don't think it's going to be on national TV. Maybe FSC or GolTV.
