why split Toews & Kane, and Sharp & Hossa they all played well together each other as our 1, 2 punches
I don't like how Kane's on the 2nd line and separated from Toews, and Sharp and Hossa being separated.
Lest we forget...were the final two games of the NHL season that long ago that we forgot our line combinations then? The only difference is Pisani in place of Ladd.
As explained, it spreads out our scoring punch (in the top two) and will cause fits for the opposition's defensive corps. For example, which line would you, as an opposing coach, try to match up your top pairing defensemen against?
And, as also mentioned, they'll change at some point due to ineffectiveness or injury.
