Forward T.J. Oshie was traded to the Washington Capitals by the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

The Blues received forwards Troy Brouwer, goalie Pheonix Copley and a third-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

Interesting. Blues did say they were open to trading core players.

The 3rd rounder is the real stronghold to this trade.

It'll be interesting to see Brouwer so much but this trade is quite amusing, it really doesn't help St. Louis solve anything but maybe I guess 600K this year.

This takes me back to remembering when Oshie was gonna solve our 2nd line center problem... seriously, why was all the answers to the 2nd line center people who WEREN'T centers? It's really bizarre. Sure they all probably were guys who played center in juniors but then so did Kane.

I guess it was probably because 2010-11 he somewhat took many draws but the old North Dakota connection team was overblown.

Blues just signed Tarahenkoknokski to a 8 year 60 mil contract. 7.5 per. Guess we can see why they needed to trade Oshie now to make some room? Also... Saad at 6 mill per year over 6 and Tarasenko at 7.5 for 8.... Think I like the Senko contract better?
