OT: all-season interleague set-up for next season

I'm sure it works out right, but I am surprised that teams will only have to play a max of 20 interleague games with year round interleague play.

Let's try to do some random math...

162 games = 54 possible series (if you only counted them in 3-game sets)

Each team must play division opponents somewhere between 15 and 18 times each. Let's just call it 15. Each division has five teams, so each team has four rivals. 60 games taken care of. 102 left.

Each league has 10 out of division opponents for each team. Let's call it as 7 games for each opponent. That is 70 games so 32 left. You can sprinkle in some four game series for the in-division guys to whittle it down to 20.

20 interleague games is four 3-game sets plus a couple of four game sets. I think 20 is probably cutting it close but I'm sure the scheduling geniuses at MLB will surprise us.
