Maybe he played defense for a few games back in the day...

Maybe he understood that he could earn a lot of money even without playing defense or without trying to become better. Or maybe it was just bad coaches who never asked him something more than what he brought in the court. That's why talent is never enough.

Or maybe he had no intention of playing defense in the first place and came in with the desire to shoot jumpers. :lol: After all, he did say he was working on his perimeter game.

Most players that get drafted say that defense is important and they'll work hard on defense blah blah blah. Even the one's that are garbage on defense. It makes them look good.

There aren't many players, like Cousins, that flat out say they hate playing defense.
