OT: Anyone ever been to Washington D.C. ?

Has anyone here ever been to Washington D.C.?

If you have, what's good in D.C. Any restaurant, club recommendations, or other cool spots to check out?

I've been to D.C. before, and got in the Pentagon, visited some memorials, went to Arlington National Cemetary, George Washington's old house, etc. etc. Have done pretty much all the tourist things that D.C. has to offer except go to the White House. So while I'll probably check out a few touristy things, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for.

If you want to get off the tourist track, visit Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, U Street, and Georgetown. They're the most interesting neighborhoods by far, and are full of bars, restaurants, and shops.

OP hasn't been here in 9 years.

Just in case he returns, I was only in DC as a kid, my favorite two things were The Smithsonian, and the FBI. On the FBI tour they had an agent take some shots at a silhouette target, tight grouping, center mass, he gave the target to me, big moment, I still have the target.

I've never been to D.C. I haven't traveled the east coast at all hardly outside the Carolinas/Florida and spent a weekend in Atlantic City.

We went to see the constitution, the Lincoln memorial, Washington monument, White House, Smithsonian...... did not get to make it to Arlington.

In my defense we didn’t have a plan. I came home from work on a Wednesday and told the wife I need a vacation and to look up 8 hr drives. D.C came up first in the list and I remember saying I want to see the constitution and Smithsonian. We basically were flying by the seat of our pants which is also why I said I wished I had 3 times as much time then we had

You can watch a video of the moon landing there. A little grainy though and the backdrop changes, oddly.......
