FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Diamondbacks have signed Jason Kubel to a two-year deal.

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the two-year contract is worth $15 million and also carries an option for 2014. Kubel drew only mild free agent interest this winter after batting .273/.332/.434 with 12 homers and 58 RBI over 401 plate appearances in 2011 for the Twins. He's expected to see regular playing time in left field for the Snakes next season, pushing Gerardo Parra to the role of fourth outfielder.
While Kenny is making sure we suck for 2012.

No more Punto, Harris, Kubel, Cuddyer, Bartlett, Gomez, and Tyner up north.

The only real Sox killers left in Minnesota are Pavano, Span, Willingham, Mauer and Morneau, both of whom might miss a lot time this season. We should be FINALLY at least beat the Twins with a little more consistency.

With our lineup... I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch :)

I'm not too worried about our line-up. More or less our rotation :pity:

Not good :(

If guys play to their averages we should be fine.

A possible rotation of Humber, Sale, Stewart, Axelrod and Peavy (no particular order) :puke:

If guys play to their averages?

What's De Aza's average? What's Vicideo's average? (Minimum 1 season) - they don't have one.

Beckham's average? It is two years ago or last year? Who knows...

Morel's average? From 1 year of service, not good.

Those questions are all avoiding Rios being horrible last year and Dunn ('nuff said).

Those "averages" don't look so good. I wish I had your optimism :(

White Sux.

It's not really optimistic though. I have us for about 50 wins next year.
