Lots of money...details in the quote box:

...starting in 2014, Saturday out-of-market games will no longer be blacked out from MLB.tv and Extra Innings customers, even when Fox has a national game.

...

the league just announced an eight year extension of the TV rights deals for Fox and TBS. For the most part it will remain the same — Saturday games on Fox, Sundays on TBS, the World Series and All-Star Game on Fox, the rest of the playoffs split between them — with a lot of interactive and live streaming as part of the deal.

The money: Selig says that the ESPN, Fox and Turner deals are collectively worth $12.4 billion between 2014 and 2021.

Extra spending $$$ for teams.

$40MM. Move the decimal point.

12,400,000,00 dividided by 10 is 1,240,000,000. Divide that by three and it is a little over 400 million.

This is what is going to be a huge boost. I want to say the WGN is up between 14 and 15, and if you didn't know how much the Trib has been screwing the Cubs on the TV deal just consider the fact that Padres made more on TV than the Cubs did from WGN.
