OT: Fenway is 100

MLB Network is airing a game between Boston and New York and they're wearing vintage uniforms.

Pregame ceremony was pretty cool, even though Millar was drunk off his ass. :lol:

I'm hoping to make it to Fenway in the next couple of years. Hope Wrigley can be renovated similar to how they did Fenway. Those two ballparks are cathedrals and should be preserved as long as it's feasible.

I love baseball and history, but comparing Wrigley and Fenway to Cathedrals is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Yeah that is also a goal of mine. I got to see old Tiger Stadium before they tore it down, and of course have been to Wrigley many times. Nothing like the old ballparks.

That's awesome..I never had the chance to go to Tiger Stadium. Comerica looks great though and that's another park I wanna get to sometime.

Comerica is an under-rated stadium. It was built around the same time as other parks like Safeco and PNC and gets lost in the shuffle. We've been to about 12 stadiums and it compares well. PNC, AT&T and Wrigley are at the top of my list, but Comerica is equivalent to Camden Yards and Arlington and better than Petco, Nationals, Jacobs and Target. New Comiskey is at the bottom of my list.

As much as I loved Tiger Stadium I realized how confined it was after going to Wrigley. With Tiger Stadium you were cut off to the rest of the world. When the riots happened in 67, most people at the game didn't know anything about it.

I have a few friends who go to UofM who have said nothing but good things about Comerica. It looks like it is a top notch stadium, even on TV. It's definitely on my list of stadiums to see.

I've enjoyed Comeria at my trips. Its probably my least favorite of the ones I've been too. Not to say I don't like it, or a dump, or anything, I've just liked the other parks I've been to better.
