Great stuff. Cant believe he was dealt so many times, so many people passed on him. His stats were not even that bad his first few years. Glad he turned out to be a champion.

Stories like this always remind me how important fit is in the NBA. Going to a coach that appreciates your game, a team that has minutes for you to show what you've got. Sure, lack of talent can kill a guy, but this is a good reminder that talent doesn't always win out.

Billups bugged me as a Piston - who doesn't, right? I remember he had some quotes about the Bulls when they were playing each other in the second round a couple of years ago that just struck me as horribly arrogant and condescending. Funny how much more likable he is now! And I am glad that he's getting a chance to show how much of that Pistons success he was responsible for. (Even if it's mostly because it's fun to watch the other long-time Pistons finally get their comeuppance!)
