I was not even old enough to be in pre-school when Michael Jordan decided to play baseball. How did Cubs fans react to Jordan playing for the South Side?

P.S. I notice the typo in the title

I was very excited about it. But then I have always been a fan of both teams, with no jealousy issues.

I thought it was great and wanted him to succeed. Pretty tough to even attempt though. That said I think Jordan could have excelled at any sport he chose as a young man, it just happened to be basketball. The dude had that "thing" that so very few athletes do.

As a fan of the White Sox but not a fan of Jordan I thought he'd be the ideal #24 (back when it was not common to have 25 men). He was so fast. I felt is someone could teach him technique he could swipe 50 bases a year on a big league roster as a pinch runner.

Alas it never happened.

I felt the same way I feel about everything and anything involving the White Sox - I couldn't care less.

Didn't care cuz he stunk at baseball anyways and I never believed in him as a baseball player.

Like most people, I chuckled at the notion and promptly forgot about it.

Also, great sig Ari.

I didn't care whatsoever, I thought it would have been cool if he succeeded and turned out to be a very good player. At the same time I was pissed he walked away from Bulls championship teams.

I still believe he was going to get suspended for gambling and took his little detour to baseball to avoid it. I truly believe there was a wink wink deal with the NBA and the Bulls.
