Joe Torre resigns from his MLB post to join in a bid on the Dodgers | HardballTalk
This could be very interesting. I'm for Kim Ng to take over Torre's old job at MLB because she's a super smart baseball person.
Not really sure why Torre wants the Dodgers although he did manage there and got the team to two straight NLCS appearances. We know Joe Torre the player was very good (almost HOF worthy, possibly should be in), the manager was magnificent, and the executive was at least serviceable depending on who you talk to. Wonder how Joe Torre the owner will do.
