OT: Knicks sign John Shurna

Just thought this was cool because we are both from Glen Ellyn and he was a senior at Glenbard West and I was a sophomore, also at Glenbard West.

This is the first player that Glenbard West has ever sent to the NBA.

Nice to see Shurna get picked up by a team. He's got a nice stroke & could be a good spot-up shooter for the right team. My claim to fame is going to school with Tamika & Tauja Catchings from Jr High thru High School. In fact, Tamika pushed one of my friends down the stairs when we were in 6th grade (she was in 8th & already over 6ft) because he accidentally got in her way. Coincidentally, I don't like that beeatch. I also raced against Jarrett Payton in track every year. He always smoked me. Unfortunately, only Connie would show up to the meets so I never got to see Walter at any.

my claim to fame is that I dated a girl in highschool that had a cousins whos brothers co-workers sons classmate who gave a guy a ride who's grandfather got in a fight with a dude who's brother worked for a landscaper who cut Scottie Pippens lawn..

Good for him. Not sure how he fits on the team w/ Novak already there, but if nothing else hopefully he can be showcased and picked up by a different team.
