Hornets get some good young pieces to try to keep Gordon there. Davis will be good for them imo. He and Okafor down low, Gordon and Ariza on the wings and Jack at point...that's not too bad considering what they had before.

Huh.... NBA owned the Hornets all season, nixed the Paul trade to the Lakers.... then sold the team and low and behold -- they win the draft lottery.

Coincidence?

Look at the plus side everybody. Charlotte won't get Davis and his brow so they might continue to suck and make our Future pick of theirs really really good.

MJ runs the team so there's a pretty good chance they would've sucked WITH Anthony Davis.

wouldn't be surprised. I think he's gonna be a bust though.

I don't think he'll be a bust. Over-hyped, oh hells yes. A reach to be taken in the top-5, I believe so. A reach in the top-10, maybe. But he still has an elite level of potential, and can flourish under the right coaching staff.

yeah I guess it depends on where he's drafted.

But if he does get taken by the Bobcats, I don't think he'll ever live up to being the 2nd pick.

He can probably end up being a good defender. But he came up small in some big games for UNC, his FT% isn't that good and he could be a better rebounder at 6'8.

I think the best he could end up being is a Luol Deng. That's my ceiling for him.

Oh wow, that's better than me. I have his absolute best projected to be Corey Maggette. LOL

I've got the tarhole right about at Darko Level.

:troll:
but really, I think Deng is a good comparison for his ceiling.

The STERN-RAN Hornets, who finished with the 4th-worst record somehow get the number one overall pick one year after losing a big-name like Chris Paul for 2 quarters on the dollar.

Hmm...can you say fixed?

I think what Charlotte does is probably going to dictate the entire draft. It's pretty obvious who the Hornets are going to pick. Honestly, I think that the Bobs would make "the right pick" with several guys. Bradley Beal gives them a powerhouse shooter who can score consistently. Thomas Robinson brings excellent rebounding, athleticism and leadership. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist could end up winning multiple DPoY awards and has the upside to have an offensive game that matches. And Harrison Barnes has a solid all-around game.

Honestly, Charlotte isn't in THAT bad of a spot. That's the nice thing about a deep draft. They're certainly going to get a player that can come in right away, start for them, and fill a leadership role.

The bobcats must keep tanking. They need a good franchise player. Obviously getting the 7th or the 8th seed is exactly the same with having the worst record in the league for Jordan . He doesn't care if his team can simply make the playoffs. He want to compete.
