The world lost a great actor & an overall great person today after a 2yr battle with pancreatic cancer. Best known for 'Dirty Dancing', my fondest memory of Swayze is of him on SNL going head to head with Chris Farley in a Chippendale dance off.

RIP Patrick Swayze 1952-2009

Very very sad. I love dirty dancing and yes the as diddy said the SNL skit. Do you know if he has any kids with his wife?

I blame you NewSkool! You wish death on Kanye West and god fights back by taking Swayze. IT'S NOT FAIR!

I was surprised to hear this. This was out of the blue for me.

We've lost a lot of great ones this summer.

Out of the blue? The guy had been battling with terminal cancer for almost 2 years. Can't say I was surprised at all. Though considering how they censor everything in China, maybe you weren't privy to this info.

My grandpa died of pancreatic cancer as well, though he never bothered with any chemo or special drugs, & we lost him in only a matter of months after diagnosis. It's one of the worst forms of cancer imaginable & is excruiating to watch a loved one suffer through.

My prayers go out to his family.
