John Danks and a prospect? Seems like they want a very good starting pitcher, then throwing in a prospect wouldnt hurt.

He's likely to stay. Unless the Cards are blown away. Not being bias, but I don't see a good match here.

I don't think the Sox will trade a SP for a pitcher when they want to contend. Pitching=offense. And Rasmus is not a star you can't pass on. He's a good defender and does have power but that's really all he has K's a good amount and his career average isn't too good.. However, he's still young at 25. Jon Jay took over a lot of playing time last year. I know Rasmus was injured but still.

God, will you get it through your head that you can't move Floyd.

only because of his contract. if his contract wasnt the way it was now, id move him...but ejax is the guy who needs to go.

Danks is only going to be traded if an extension isn't meet by the deadline next season and we suck again.

Sigh. Becuase he's cheap, and we have him signed going into next season and have a team option for 2013. Why trade one of the four starters we have for next season. Trading Floyd creates another hole and makes us even shittier because there is no way, we get anything back for Floyd that is probably good enough to go into a rotation.

Okay.....

But WHY would you want to trade Floyd? He's cheap and he's going to be cheap for the next two seasons. Why trade away one of the cheap guys? He's not good enough to get another starter in return. But he's good enough to be our number 4 starter, which is what we need him and pay him to do.

Use your nogin bro.

I would never give up one of our SP for Rasmus not unless they threw in a whole boatload of prospects behind him! The only thing I would give up for this guy is TEashits or Dumb nothing else! If someone wants one of our pitchers its going to cost them alot more than a Rasmus...If we do trade CQ for a boatload I still wouldn't want Rasmus as
I would rather put Viceido in his place and let the little engine that could keep chugging along. NO RASMUS!!!

I dont get the love fest over Gavin Floyd. Yes hes young, cheap and signed for next year, who cares?, well obviously you do. Those two factors mean squat to me if hes not putting up the numbers and helping us win. Im not saying hes not cuz i love his K to BB ratio, but If we can get a bat that can get on base for him, I do it. I dont think i see him ever winning close to 20 games with us, How is a 4th starter not replaceable?I wouldnt trade him for Rasmus though.
